Lindon:
[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"Well, I didn't even need to crack the safe. It was just handed to us by a young girl, looking for a Lynx or something to that effect. She seemed quite anxious. My guess is she broke in earlier than we did. If everything is in order, we should leave."

Lindon was seriously debating on whether to return the Tear to General Viper. From what he had seen, General Viper was not doing anything wrong. He had a good reason to take the Tear, he had to. But the General wasn't anywhere to be found.

"Hmm...Hold on a sec. I'm going to sneak into the head honcho's office. I need to take a look at his files, and see why he wanted this thing. You guys head out. I'll rappel off the balcony when I'm done."

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

Doc smiled happy to be leaving, "alright...wil do, dude. Be safe..." Looking to Steena as he held out an arm like a some kind of surfer suitor to a young dutchess, "Shall we be going then, mi'lady?" A somewhat flirtatious smirk returning to his face that had long since been gone.

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

Steena's lip quirked just the teeniest bit as she extended a hand to run over the muscle of his arm and curl over his forearm. "Lead the way, Doc. . " she said softly, her other hand idly stroking the faux Dragon Tear. "I'm more than ready to get out of here."

With that he escorted the lovely shrine maiden to the alter he had climbed up to before. "..." examining it for a moment trying to his the fact it wasn't how he'd gotten up before, finally noticing the button as they began decending. "Happy now?" he asked with a smile as he looked to Steena with a slightly awry grin.

"I feel much better," she replied truthfully. "I'm amazed no one accousted us. . I was waiting for a good time and I didn't even hear word of General Viper." She sniffed, a brow raising. "Something is very wrong - besides the fighting that is." She held the Dragon Tear up and gave it a critical eye, "I hope they didn't do anything to it, it *feels* different."

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"Well..." Doc began as he escourted the lovely shrine maiden onward, "...I doubt they'd just take it from us because it looks pretty, Steena. I mean, we barely know what it does ourselves, right?" An eyebrowe raising of his own, wondering just how her sniffing the air around it would tell her anything...maybe she's spent too much time around the shrine guard back home.

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"I know," she murmered, feeling a little foolish. "I'm just worried, it probably isn't anything worth troubling over. The best thing we can do is get this back to Guldove." Her pace quickened a little bit, thinking about home.

Lindon:
[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

In Viper's office, Lindon had managed to break into Viper's most guarded files. "Fort Dragonia?" Lindon breathed out in surprise, but he continued to read the rest of the document. Of course, the confidential information was kept probably between Viper and the other person. Lindon had heard things about the cat-man. Lindon wanted to know his involvement.

"Which means I need him alive." Lindon hurried out, ready to break up the fight, even defend the cat-man Lynx, if necessary.

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"Home it is, then..." Doc said with a grin, not liking his friends to be troubled. "But stop being so troubled...you know that's supposed to be my job." he commented only partially joking.

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"Yes, well, I wish for neither of us to be troubled." By this time they were nearing the enterance - or exit in this case. "I hope Lindon doesn't take too long. . . I'm anxious to leave."

[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

"Knowing Lindon...he just might, Steena." Doc mused, "So I'll take it you're going to let our adventure end so soon?" He asked her, a light playful smirk brimming at the corners of his lips, which had been gone from him for some time as he awaited her response.

Lindon:
[Viper Manor, Alternate World]

Lindon finally decided. He was going to trust General Viper's judgement for the Tear. Sneaking past the battle was hard, but he was able to do it, most of it due to sheer luck. He stalled for the appropriate amount of time. "Alright, here goes the actor to the stage."

Lindon crept out the door of Viper Manor and went up to Steena and Doc. "Glad you didn't leave without me. Sorry, but that safe was ridicously well-guarded, and it seems that girl we met earlier was in some sort of fight with a demi-human...Oh well. That's not the important thing. The real important thing was what I read in some sealed orders." Lindon made sure to rush his words so that the news sounded important.

Time now to tell one of the best lies of his life, "It was that Viper already took the Dragon Tear along with a squad of dragoons. If what I read is correct, then we don't have anything, and what they're doing at Fort Dragonia is already underway. Steena," he turned to the silver-haired shrine maiden. "Is anything wrong with the Tear?"
